Lichfield Cathedral, Thursday, 5th July, Choral Evensong at 17:30, thanksgiving for the National Health Service.

To celebrate 70 years of the NHS following the launch on 5th July 1948 by Aneurin Bevan. The Service will include an address by Professor Sir Albert Aynsley Green, advocate of child welfare and health: He was the Professor of Child Health and subsequently the Head of the School of Clinical Medical Sciences in the University of Newcastle upon Tyne, held the Nuffield Chair of Child Health at the Institute of Child Health, University College London, and was appointed the first National Clinical Director for Children, he is now an independent consultant on children, childhood and child health.
