Salaam(peace to you) Dear Friends,
Qiyaa'mul Layl(29th Night of Ramadhan) & Qur'an Khatam
Insha’ALLAH(God willing), we will be celebrating this on Wednesday night - 13 June 2018.
We will also complete the recitation of the Holy Qur'an (Qur'an Khatam) with Salat'ul Taraweeh(special nightly prayers performed in Ramadhan).
We are delighted to invite you, and members of your or any other organisation or individual (you feel will enrich the event) to join us on this auspicious night and share food & observe the various congregational prayers.
We plan to celebrate this special night by breaking our fast (Ifta'ar) at 9:36pm followed by Salat'ul Maghrib(sunset prayers), dinner & the Salat'ul Isha & Taraweeh Jama'ats (nightly congregational prayers).

Insha’ALLAH(God Willing), the programme will be as follows:
(1) 9:36pm Ifta'ar, Salat'ul Maghrib followed by Dinner.
(2) 10:30pm Explanation of congregational prayers to be performed.
(3) 10:40pm Salat'ul Isha, Salat'ul Taraweeh, Duas, & Salat'ul Witr(congregational prayers)
(4) 11:30pm Presentation & Masjid Fundraising.
(5) 12:10am End of programme.
We will also provide an English translation of the verses of the Holy Qur'an that are recited in Arabic during the night.
We do have a dress code, which is as follows:
· Men - loosely fitted clothing and no shorts.
· Women - loosely fitted clothing, headscarf's, ankle length skirts, trousers/slacks and no short skirts.
You are welcome to attend anytime from 9:00pm onwards.
Please make a serious effort to attend as we would love members of our local community to share this special occasion with us. Please confirm your intentions to me by Sunday 10 June 2018, so that we can make suitable catering arrangements.

Stowe Street, Lichfield WS13 6AF

Access to the Masjid/Centre is as follows: Women: The front entrance @ Stowe Street. Men: Car Park entrance - through the path on left of Masjid when facing Masjid from Stowe Street.

Women: Women's Prayer Hall.
Men: Mens Prayer Hall.

Car Parking: The Masjid's rear car park is open. Cars can also be parked on Stowe Street, St Chads Road & Wissage Road nearby. Please be courteous to our neighbours - park responsibly, legally and be silent when entering or leaving the Masjid.

Sunday 24th June 2018 11:00WINDRUSH CELEBRATION EUCHARIST AT LICHFIELD CATHEDRALSunday, 24th June, Windrush Celebration Eucharist at 11:00.
On 22 June 1948 The SS Empire Windrush arrived at Tilbury docks carrying passengers from the Caribbean. They were invited by Britain to assist with post-war reconstruction and they have helped to shape British social, cultural and political life. The 11:00 Eucharist on Sunday 24 June will mark the Windrush 70th Anniversary. The Revd Preb Carl Ramsay will preside, and our preacher will be The Revd Karen Reeves, Vicar of Walsall S John, The Pleck and Bescot.
