During Mental Health Week, on Thursday, 12th May, church leaders and members with a concern for mental wellbeing are invited to College Hall, The Close, Lichfield WS13 7LD, from 7.30pm-9pm, for the launch of Healthy Healing Hub. Dr Gillian Straine, of the Guild of Health and St Raphael, and Corin Piling, of Sanctuary Mental Health, will introduce free resources to help churches around Lichfield develop their ministry of healing and wholeness. Sunday 15th May 202217:00FUNDRAISING SHOW FOR UKRAINIAN REFUGEES AT LICHFIELD GARRICK
The Garrick has generously agreed to donate half of the funds raised for Lichfield District City of Sanctuary to provide support for the benefit of refugees arriving in the District of Lichfield. I hope as many of you as possible can book tickets for the event on Sunday 15th May at 5.00. The expenditure of the income will be a major point of discussion for us soon. We hope to see you there! During Dementia Action Week (16-22 May), we are holding a short, informal dementia friendly service in the cathedral on Friday, 20th May at 11am. This will be followed an opportunity to chat together and share experiences in College Hall.
Saturday 21st May 202218:30FREE CHURCH CHOIRS FESTIVAL OF CHURCH MUSIC
Lichfield Cathedral Saturday 25th May at 7.30 p.m. The festival entry is free, just a retiring collection for the work of the Free Church Choirs. There is also a possibility for choirs to join in. Individual singers are also welcome but they will need to attend local rehearsals plus the afternoon rehearsal on the day of the festival. A Festival book has been published for the singers containing all the music at a cost of £13 including postage

Ascension Day – Thursday 26 May 2022 Lichfield Cathedral will be celebrating the feast day of the Ascension of our Lord with a programme of services to keep this important day in the Church’s calendar. At 0750 the Cathedral choir will sing the Ascension Day hymn from the Cathedral roof – please gather outside No.19 The Close and support them in this traditional activity. This will be followed by Morning Prayer in the Lady Chapel at 0800, we hope that those coming to hear the choir will also stay for this short service
Sunday 29th May 202218:30TALK BY ADA WORDSWORTH ON HER WORK IN PLOAND-UKRAINE
Churches Together members and followers may be interested in an open meeting at The Hub on Sunday 29 May, 6.30 pm, when Ada Wordsworth will be speaking about her work on the Poland-Ukraine border supporting refugees: the leader of our District Council Doug Pullen was impressed by her project, and in view of the Lichfield connection (d Doors open at 6.00 pm, and no booking is required.
