14th May 2021
With regard to Thy Kingdom Come this year, St Michael’s and St John’s will hold Zoom services of Morning Prayer at 9.00am, with the readings and prayers based on the Anglican Communion Five Marks of Mission. The timetable is as follows.

Friday 14th May The first Mark - To proclaim the Good News of the Kingdom

Monday 17th May The second Mark - To teach, baptise and nurture new believers

Tuesday 18th May The third Mark - To respond to human need by loving service

Thursday 20th May The fourth Mark - To seek to transform unjust structures of society, to challenge violence of every kind and to pursue peace and reconciliation

Friday 21st May The fifth Mark - To strive to safeguard the integrity of creation and sustain and renew the life of the earth

These will follow on from a series of Bible studies on the same themes that run via Zoom on Wednesdays at 10.30am between Easter and Pentecost with visiting speakers from around the Anglican Deanery (including Bishop Michael). These begin tomorrow (Wednesday 21st April). These will also be recorded and put on the church Facebook page ( ) and web site ( ).

Zoom links for Thy Kingdom Come will appear on the church web site sometime in the next week or so. All welcome (as indeed folk would be for the bible studies)

Rev. Chris Baker
