RESPONSES TO ‘WHERE HAS GOD BEEN FOR YOU IN THE PAST 12 WEEKS OF LOCKDOWN?'

Churches Together Lichfield AGM June 2020

Responses to ‘Where has God been for you in the past 12 weeks of lockdown?’

The ‘new quiet’ was found very helpful to prayer and general spiritual well being.

Perhaps we are being taught to use a lighter footprint regarding our human activities.

Concern expressed about how we open our buildings with the new safe guards.

Will people be hesitant re-engaging with ‘church’ as we understand it.

We've had many more people see what we do

We've been able to hear from people all over the World for free

There's been a sense of people wanting to know more about God. Being free of premises has made things easier.

I've had the chance to look at what I believe, to see my faith change and to look at what the new norm will be.

People have been so caring and with a focus on others.

I have been thinking about the Lent book 'Dethroning Mammon' and think this could be the start of it!

We have realised that all members of society are important. It is all very well to stand outside and applaud key workers but why are we not prepared to pay many of them what they are worth?

An opportunity for the Church to find new ways to spread the Gospel.

Do we really need Church buildings?
