BISHOP MICHAEL'S 'SEEK THE KINGDOM' PILGRIMAGE
Seeking the Kingdom: on foot |
As part of his Lenten Observance, the Bishop of Lichfield will be walking though all four archdeaconries of our Diocese, continuing the long tradition of pilgrimage in Mercia begun by St Chad our first bishop. Bishop Michael will be walking from 03-12 April and on each of these ten days he will stop in the evening to join a parish for prayer and Bible study. He will take as his subject each day one of the ten goals in the new Diocesan Strategy, ‘Seeking the Kingdom.’ Bishop Michael and those walking with him will end their journey here in the Cathedral on Saturday 12 April. Bishop Michael will lead a short Bible Study at around 4.30pm followed by Evening Prayer. All are welcome to greet +Michael on his arrival, and to pray with him as we pause on the eve of Holy Week The Bible studies will be published in a booklet available at each venue and after each evening online.
