Over four years since the war in Ukraine began, countless people are still facing immense hardship. Many families are forced to leave their homes at a moment’s notice, carrying only what they can.

To help Lichfield Cathedral is supporting The Fabric Vault in their Evacuation Backpack Collection, gathering essential items for those in urgent need. The donations will be delivered through Koridor UA, a volunteer-driven Czech-Ukrainian charity providing direct humanitarian aid to the areas that need it most.

What to Donate

The Fabric Vault are putting together Evacuation Backpacks filled with essential items:

• Hygiene: toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, shower gel, soap, hand sanitiser, small towels
• First Aid: plasters, bandages, antiseptic wipes, baby wipes, or a fully stocked first aid kit
• Lighting & Power: power banks, charging cables, torches, head torches (batteries included if needed)
• Warmth: sleeping bags, thermal emergency blankets
• Food: ready meals (just add hot water), energy bars
• Backpacks

Important: All items must be new and in original packaging to help with border control and ensure the supplies reach those who need them.
