It really was a relatively quiet evening for the four of us with short bursts of activity.
The mild weather meant that tabards were preferred to the much warmer coats.
Due to the new anti-traffic bollards there were fewer vehicles in the pedestrian area the exception being the delivery drivers and of course, the police.
We had the usual kind comments and donations although we never encourage anyone. During the quieter moments we were able to take short patrols to stretch our legs and embrace the nightlife.
A new homeless man with an Irish accent approached the table, and left taking a packet of biscuits with him. As we entered into the new day, the area around the table became a bit more animated with one particular male who seemed in a very dark place. Two of us listened to him very intently as he constantly repeated his problems. We hope he is able to get some professional help.
Our friendly doorman, Bobby, explained how he was not able to go to Pakistan due to airport closures during the current unrest over there.
His mother was stuck over there for now. He supplied the very tasty chips which we ate on the way back to our base camp at Wade Street, We began packing down at about 1am.
