2022 AGM - TREASURER'S REPORT

Treasurer’s Report for the year ended 31 December 2021

The activities of 2021 were again affected by the restrictions of the Covid-19 pandemic. Our Enabling Group and Forum meetings took place on-line, as did the Lent groups, which were well attended. On Christmas Day, oven-ready meals were delivered and ‘phone calls made to those who would otherwise have been isolated. World Day of Prayer took place on-line and the group has become affiliated to Churches Together in Lichfield. We were delighted to celebrate Lichfield Christian Schools’ Work Trust’s 25 years of ministry among young people. As ever, huge thanks go to the volunteers who organised and distributed the Christmas Day Together meal; planned and ran Lent groups, and those who support the governance and administration of the organisation. Thank you.

It was a very quiet year financially. General income was £1,229, being mainly subscriptions from member churches. Total expenditure was £4,827, of which £2,741 related to the transfer of funds remaining from the Night Shelter to support the Lichfield Cares project and £1,378 for Christmas Day Together. A grant of £150 was made from General Funds towards the administration costs of World Day of Prayer.

We ended the year with a balance of £2,798, which may be spent on any of our charitable purposes.

I am happy to answer any questions you may have on the Annual Report and Accounts at the AGM, or you may ask through the contact form on the website.

Finally, I would like to thank Jemimah Reid, our Independent Examiner – for her diligence and dedication in ensuring that we comply with all charity reporting requirements, and for her support.

I submit the Annual Report and Financial Statements for 2021 to the AGM for approval.
