A new pilgrimage route, the St. Editha's Way, has been created between Polesworth Abbey and Lichfield Cathedral, via Tamworth.
The new route will be officially opened as part of our Athelstan 1100 celebrations on Tuesday 22nd July, 10am at Polesworth Abbey. Walkers are then invited to a special celebration service at Lichfield Cathedral at 4.30pm.
The route features many of the sights of ancient Mercia PLUS the brand-new statue of St. Editha, especially commissioned for the festivities, will be on display at St. Editha's Church!
