'TABLE FOR THE NATION' AT LICHFIELD CATHEDRAL

Table for the Nation / Stitch Sessions We are excited to announce that the “Table for the Nation” will soon be in residency inside the Cathedral from May. Come and view this spectacular 13 - metre-long table made from a section of 5,000 year old subfossilised black oak.

Learn more about its history through a fascinating exhibition providing insights into the project and a timeline of historical events across 5,000 years.

In partnership with The Fabric Vault, we hope to create a table runner to sit along the entire length of the table. ‘Common Threads’ will be a community craft project drawing together textile art contributions from schools, community groups and local businesses.

The first sessions will run on Tuesday 13 May at 10am and Tuesday 20 May at 6.15pm, with more dates to be announced in due course.
